Ridge Rd and Walnut Hill
BY EMMANUELLE MARCUS '26
The streetlamp across my house shines into my room
Every night I stare out the window.
I stare at the streetlight handing down the side of my road
A spotlight - for a stage that has never been performed on,
Staring at the blue squares on my wall
Waiting for the night when I get woken up
We have to go
We have to go save the world
I stay up all night
Waiting for someone to stand under the streetlamp
For converse shoes to hit the road running
For plans to be hatched under the black cape of night
As the summer runs out just like years past
My window never changes my view stays the same
But i start to loose hope for a life that never existed
Losing dreams to be the hero.
